CeeLo Green just arrived with his lawyer Blair Berk to the criminal court house to be arraigned.
The singer has just been charged with giving a woman ecstasy last year … before attempting to sleep with her. We’re trying to stream live inside the courtroom.
Green was cleared of charges he also sexually assaulted the woman during the incident due to insufficient evidence.
Prosecutors have asked that CeeLo’s bail be set at $30,000. If convicted, Green faces up to four years in state prison.
On his way into court, CeeLo told us he’s relieved and not scared — relieved that he’s not being charged with sexual assault, and not scared of the drug charge.
CeeLo’s attorney tells us, “We are pleased that the Los Angeles County District Attorney has completed its investigation and concluded that the evidence did not support the false and unfounded claims made over a year ago.”
She adds, “As it relates to the one charge of furnishing or sharing ecstasy, Mr. Green will responsibly address that matter in a court of law.”
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 1:30PM PST, but the judge still hasn’t said cameras will be allowed in the courtroom.
